Marco Logsdon brings his non-objective, abstract style of painting,"Neutrality", to a personal exploration or "Subjective" study of his grandmother's quilts. Using only oil, tar and beeswax, each painting in this exhibit is an isolated block pattern that is found repeated in a quilt.
"These paintings pay homage to an art form passed along and modified over time by different generations in various cultures. The manifestation is detached, neutral. The paintings are born from the subjective, and though they mimic a known quilting design, they are offered here as nothing more than line and form."
